The AI Assistant is a chat interface in Command Center for working with your platform in natural language. Open it from AI Assistant in the sidebar. Ask it to look up tasks, jobs, tickets, hosts, agents, gateways, knowledge documents, and more, or to make changes such as adding an operational rule or a blacklisted command.

How it works

The assistant answers using a set of tools that read from and act on your platform.
  • Read and search tools run automatically. Looking things up (tasks, hosts, rules, and so on) happens without interruption.
  • Changes require your approval. When the assistant wants to create, update, or delete a resource, it pauses and shows the proposed action with approve and reject buttons. Nothing changes until you approve. You can mark individual tools to auto-approve if you trust them.
  • You can stop a response while it is running, and delete a conversation when you are done.
Credential secret values are never shown in the assistant’s output.

Access

Access follows your role: administrators and standard users can use it, while auditors get read-only access (the change-approval tools are not available to them). Conversations are scoped to the organization you have selected.
